The impact you'll make:

The purpose of the Product Copywriter is to own and produce product copy on our wider creative team. As the creative link to our R&D, Formulation, and Regulatory teams, you’ll report to the Copy Director and form collaborative relationships with various cross-functional partners. As a master of Saje’s brand voice, you may also provide direction to other writers and colleagues as needed.  

The body of work for this role spans all of Saje’s product categories and includes product naming, packaging creation, and the development and maintenance of essential copy systems that support our brand voice and vision. Your words (across products, packaging, and channels) are the core touchpoint for our community members to understand ingredients, usage, and benefits—and will inspire them to invite more wellness into their lives through the sensory experiences Saje products unlock. 

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.

What you'll do:

  • Write clear, evocative, and connecting product copy in Saje’s tone of voice. 
  • Edit and proofread packaging to ensure copy is on-brand, accurate, and following regulatory standards, licenses, and trademarks.  
  • Help create and maintain naming conventions, guidelines, and product content library to ensure information is accurate and up to date.  
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with R&D, Marketing, Product, Innovations, Retail, Formulation, and Regulatory Teams to position product and educate Community Members 
  • Contribute to and present captivating decks for creative reviews.  
  • Bring knowledge of industry trends, content marketing, and new technology to the work  
  • Contribute to product education work by working closely with R&D to help inform marketing campaigns and collaborations. 
  • Collect data and share insights that can positively impact creative work.  
  • Manage relationships for translations.  
  • Extreme attention to detail is required in both generating, analyzing, and proofing copy to meet regulatory standards and launch compliant products. 
  • Contribute to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion. 

 

Qualifications:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong technical writing skills 
  • 5 years of copywriting experience, with experience writing product copy (agency, in-house, or freelance)  
  • Fluency and strong command in the English language, both verbally and written  
  • Love of the written word, grammar & punctuation, creative problem-solving, and communication strategies 
  • Attention to detail, a love of style guides, and organizational skills for maintaining internal copy systems.   
  • An understanding of omni-channel customer journeys and the copy-design relationship 
  • Awareness of the copy-design relationship and understanding of design principles  
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and individuality.  
  • Experience managing multiple projects at a time, with the ability to present work in a clear and creative manner.
  • Experience or specialty in product education writing is considered an asset.

The compensation range for this position is from $72,500 – $85,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
